In the Amazon Business Alliance we promote economic development based on the sustainable use of natural resources, which seeks to improve the well-being of people, based on equality, gender and intercultural approaches.

We work mainly on two fronts: On the first, through financial instruments, such as competitive loans and grants, and constant accompaniment with our strategic allies, we accelerate business models that contribute to sustainable development in the region. In the second, and in parallel, we work closely with public sector actors to help generate the enabling conditions for the sustainable business ecosystem to develop and strengthen.

To this end, we work with local and indigenous communities, large and small companies, investors, public entities, research centers and civil society organizations that implement and incorporate sustainability and conservation into their strategies and business models.

The Amazon Business Alliance is a platform led by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the Government of Canada and Conservation International.

"The potential for restoration in the Amazon is immense and our vision is to achieve a better space for our children and for the future"

Denis Buteau
Country Representative for Viridis Terra Perú.
