In her search for opportunities to explore organic production, Carolina Sánchez, the commercial manager of Shanantina, came across a product that caught her attention: sacha inchi. Signs in various plots repeatedly displayed that name, sparking her curiosity and leading her to discover the potential of the so-called “Inca peanut.” With an unwavering determination to learn more about this crop, Carolina and her team settled in Lamas, San Martín, where they rooted their dreams and began laying the foundation for what is now Shanantina.
